Brownstone Reception Seating

If you are having an intimate reception or inviting your whole town filled with loved ones, the reception seating layout helps a bride and groom visualize their big day! At The Brownstone, we are thankful for our historic 2,400 square foot barn that provides a rustic elegant space for our wonderful couples to celebrate.

Family style seating (long lines of rectangular tables) is a popular choice because it allows people to talk more closely to one another and adds to the aesthetic of the barn. The other reason utilizing the long tables works well is due to the layout of a narrow barn which fits long narrow tables a bit better with allowing for more space for your guests. Mixing styles is another great option to optimize space and give your reception a unique look.

Here are a few examples of layouts that have worked well at The Brownstone in the past –

A Few Hints –

Arranging the buffet table where the dance floor will be is a great option to eliminate moving your guests during the event. If we must break down a table during the reception to

accomodate for a larger dance floor, it is always a great idea to leave a note on the table for you guests letting them know they are sitting where the “party’s at” and the table will be broken down after dinner.
