“Love is Love” – David Tutera
It has been a whirlwind of a week for Connie, The Brownstone owner, and myself. We arrived on Monday morning in Las Vegas, just hours after the horrific attack on the city, to attend the national Wedding MBA conference. This conference is filled with industry experts sharing their stories, knowledge and latest trends to the wedding community. What is usually a city full of light-hearted fun filled with wedding fanatics whose sole purpose is to put on a grand and memorable production… the mood was somber, reflective and most of all filled with love. Our heartfelt love and thoughts go out to all impacted by the event in Las Vegas.
Connie and I received the opportunity to attend the Wedding MBA thanks to Go Topeka and the small business incentive program who helped support us in funding this event. Our goal for attending the conference was to continue to learn about the industry at a national level. We attended every session ranging from new technology and new table layout designs to listening to the popular David Tutera speak on behalf of his journey.
We met and learned from venues all over the country and gained tips and tricks from their expertise and even carved out enough time to see Celine Dion!
We are thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow in our knowledge and our business and can’t wait to apply these new skills to help our phenomenal brides and clients put on the perfect event!
