It’s me Boston Craig, the makeup artist behind Boston’s Makeup! A little bit about me… I was born and raised in El Dorado, Kansas. I have always been around the beauty industry, I grew up around it, which is where I believe to have found my interest in makeup and serving others! I love to be around people and always enjoy being on the go… I am kind of a workaholic, HaHa.

I have younger sisters who I chose to spend my time with often, and an Australian Shepard named Blue, walks are our favorite! I stand strong in my faith and feel at peace in this profession knowing I am using my talents to serve and love others through beauty!

What made you interested in doing makeup professionally?

Makeup has always been an interest of mine, even as a little girl. Makeup is an expression of who we are. I love that I am able to use my gift to glorify God without taking away from one’s beauty, but enhancing His masterpiece. Every Girl is beautiful!

How do you stay up on the current makeup trends?

Makeup and its trends are constantly changing! There are always new “trends” but it is important to know that some are not always what they are worked up to be! I will always try a new “trend” on myself before ever doing it on a paying client. I want to offer you my best work, techniques and practices I have spend years on perfecting. I plan to pursue and further my education even more as an Esthetician in the Fall of 2023.

If you had to narrow it down to one makeup product that you can’t live without, what would it be?

This is hard… I have so much makeup and I love it all, but I would have to say mascara for sure! I feel like instantly it changes your entire look.

What do you include in your bridal wedding package?

I offer a variety of different things in a bridal package! Bride Trials, Early Start times, Scheduling, Makeup On-Site, Touch-Up Services, Jr. Bridesmaids Applications, and a Bridal Contract. I also offer up my services not only to your bridesmaids, but also to the Mother of Bride and Mother of Groom. The best part is that lashes are included in every makeup application!

Do you require the bride to do a makeup trial before there big day?

Currently, I do not require a bride to do a bride trial. I do though strongly recommend that as a bride they do one. This is an opportunity for the bride to come to me with their vision of what they are seeking makeup wise for their special day! We have the time to swap out lip colors, false eyelashes lashes, or anything else pertaining to your there that you might want to see differently. We also have the opportunity to create a relationship before I come in and do their makeup on their wedding day. This is a great way for them to feel comfortable in me being their artist and gives them the assurance that they’re getting dolled up the way they’ve always dreamed of looking as a bride!

How much time should the bridal party plan to get make up completed for a bride and bridesmaids?

Time is always a tricky factor, because brides never really know what to expect or how long makeup might take. I fortunately provide a service where I set up a schedule for them once they return to me how many people are in their bridal party!

Typically I like to set aside 45 minutes per application, with 30 minutes of “wiggle-room” at the end of my time serving you! This allows for any last minute touch-ups or changes to any looks, if need be.
