Just a few weeks ago, the Brownstone was a buzz of laughter, music and games as we held our first annual New Year’s Eve Party. We rang in the new year with phenomenal music from the Serrano Peppers, delicious food by Southern Accents catering, amazing photos by TopCity Photobooth and one of a kind decor by our incredibly talented event coordinator Valerie Britto-Sobke. This event was not only a blast but also a wonderful reminder of how far we as a business have come in a year.
After the rush of holiday parties, I had a few minutes to reflect on our 2017 adventure. This time last year, I was one week in to this crazy ride and had to pack three pairs of shoes in my trunk because when I arrived at the construction site I never knew if I needed my mud boots, snow boots or tennis shoes. I spent hours working through plans with the most hardworking and talented construction crew and management team then would run off to pick out tile and wall colors with the immensely talented Jan Hutt, our interior designer. There are not enough words to describe how much I learned during the construction phase nor how much I fell in love with the building as we added our own history to the already iconic structure.
During the busy winter months, we also toured brides through the space. Without drywall, flooring or paint, these amazing newlyweds believed in our vision and trusted in our work. The weddings held this summer and fall will hold a special place in my heart as I was able to witness each of their beautiful visions come true and will be forever grateful.
As a management team, we are so incredibly thankful to the families who put their trust in us and to our staff who put their whole hearts in to serving the community each and every day. We are just getting started and looking at our 2018 calendar we are excited to be filled with celebrations and can’t wait to continue to serve you.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Cheers to 2018!
