Let’s break this down for you! For most newly engaged couples, the first part of wedding planning involves selecting your vendors. We are excited to be able to offer a preferred partners vendor list to our couples at The Brownstone.

In determining how to select your vendors there are a few helpful tips you will want to think about.

1. Ask your friends- Don’t overlook word of mouth from your fellow friends and family members. Chances are you have people around you that have been married and can fill you in on their recommendations. After hearing their recommendations, I suggest you look into the vendors through what brings me to point # 2 social media.
2. Social Media- Social media is a huge platform for marketing these days. What better way to view their portfolio than what they push out on their social media. Instagram is a great search method; you can view hashtags and see what other couples have used in your area to help gain more vendor options. I encourage you to make sure that their style fits your taste before moving onto tip #3 Budget.
3. Budget- When starting your vendor search budget plays a realistic role in your selection. Make sure you have clearly lined out what is important to you on your big day and put a true budget number on each category. With having a budget number, you can start by selecting 1-3 options in each category to not get too overwhelmed in the beginning. If you’ve had a great conversation with a specific vendor, note the customer service you have been provided to help listen to your gut as you make big decisions.
