“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi
I am a lifelong student, it is in my DNA. Ever since I can remember, I have yearned for the opportunity to learn anything and everything I could from sports techniques to financial calculations. I worked my way through high school, bled purple in college and received my MBA while working full time. I listen to countless podcasts on my drive to work and knock out every online course I receive in my inbox. The day we started the Brownstone, we made a promise to continue our education. We are a small but mighty business with big goals to serve our clients to the absolute best of our ability and we always want to stay at the forefront of technology and industry knowledge.
Connie and I spent the past three days in Charleston, South Carolina learning from Rachel Hollis and her team at the Rise Business Conference. This conference was a bit different for us because it was not wedding industry specific but that is exactly what we wanted. When searching for a 2019 conference, we focused on where we wanted to see growth in our business and personal leadership styles. We wanted to immerse ourselves with entrepreneurs from every walk of life and stage of business. The Rise conference was jam packed with amazing speakers who taught on everything from email list building to constructive conversations. My greatest take-away was the focus on consistent branding and serving the customer well. In the upcoming days and weeks, I hope you notice some positive changes in your interaction with The Brownstone including additional communication through email and social media, a focus on providing additional services in 2020 as well as the same top notch community events.
We are so thankful that you celebrate with us. Wishing you a wonderful week!
Cheers!
Abbey Brown
